Nelson and Austin more importantly confirm that Deebo Samuel (foot) remains uncertain for the team's season opener on September 13. Perhaps Kyle Shanahan is the key to unlocking 29-year-old Austin's career 6.8 yards per carry as a misplaced receiver through seven NFL seasons.
