Although only a one-year deal, the $8.6 million makes Cook the ninth highest paid running back considering average annual value. Cook joins a retooled Jets roster that also brought in quarterback Aaron Rodgers this offseason, giving him exactly what he was searching for in free agency - to be paid what he feels he’s worth and to join a Super Bowl contender. The Jets now lock up their stopgap and insurance policy while they wait for the return of the electric second-year back Breece Hall. |
